Because of an ice maker purchase, a Davis family joined forces with Benning Design Construction to undertake a complete renovation of their home. In what started as a desire to create a space for a new ice maker, quickly turned into an entire house remodel.
Walls were removed and entire rooms were relocated. An office was transformed into a master bathroom and walk in closet, closet space became a bathroom, a pantry was carved out of the kitchen. The wall separating the dining and living rooms was removed to create a large, open environment. Walls, cabinets, floors, the fireplace (and so much more) were refreshed and updated.
The modest but homey space was reconstructed into a contemporary home with splashes of beach vibes. Living spaces grew brighter with less walls and brighter paint. The result is a luxurious retreat for a warm, loving family and their pets.
